Finding the Eye of the Storm with Mindfulness of Breathing

The Anapanasati Sutta is one of the foremost instructions of the historical Buddha regarding the practice of meditation, and the development of clarity and insight. When mindfulness of breathing is imbued with open-hearted curiosity, the mind stabilizes and finds its way to equanimity, and to a great capacity to respond effectively to chaos and all the vagaries of human experience. On this day of practice, we will explore the core aspects of these instructions, and a range of ways to approach them. This silent retreat is suitable for beginners and will be a valuable refresher and reboot for experienced meditators. All are welcome, seasoned practitioners to “fidgety skeptics,” as Dan Harris calls them! Come reclaim some steadiness and ease at a tumultuous time.
