A 6-Night Mindfulness Retreat
Co-taught with Gullu Singh
"Nature is the source of all true knowledge. She has her own logic, her own laws, she has no effect without cause, nor invention without necessity." ~ Leonardo da Vinci
Being truly present to the natural world, we find all of life arising from each miracle that nature presents before us. In a single blossom, the universe unfolds. Entire galaxies are reflected in a raindrop. Nature has always been the best of teachers. So many of the Buddha's teachings, with his use of agrarian metaphors for example, arise from the lessons of the natural world we are imbedded in. Ancient texts describe him teaching the Dharma to tree and water spirits, to animals and to humans alike. Like any great teaching, each time we come to it, a new insight offers itself–– the Dharma can be heard, felt, experienced. In this retreat, we will open the sense doors to the peace that nature can offer and find the peace within ourselves and in community. Waking up from the slumber of despondency our suffering world can throw us into, let's allow the natural world to re-enchant our hearts and minds.
This retreat will be available for registration after January 15
